Golden Menorah
Episode 4
Light is important in Jewish ceremonies and there are special lamp stands with many candles called Menorah!
The original menorah came from the Temple in Jerusalem and features in the traditional Jewish story of Chanukah. The lamp shown here was lost at the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, but there is a carving of it in the arch built by Titus in Rome showing it being carried away as a prize. We based our design on this carving.
